Our location and surroundings

Achiltibuie Garden is located on the Coigach Peninsula, in North-West Ross-shire, overlooking the beautiful Summer Isles. At the southern end of the North-West Highlands Geopark the area is rich in places of geological and archaeological interest.  If you are looking for directions to get to us, click here.

This stunning area is the perfect place to enjoy walking, climbing, bird watching, fishing, painting, photography, kayaking, cycling,... or just relaxing!

Coigach is made up of Achduart, Acheninver, Achiltibuie, Achnahaird, Altandhu, Badenscallie, Badentarbet, Culnacraig, Dornie, Inverpolly, Polbain, Polglass and Reiff. Although it's a scattered community, the hub is Achiltibuie as it has the primary school, Coigach community hall, Post Office and fire station, not forgetting Achiltibuie Garden. The area is well serviced with local shops, a hotel, bars, craft shops, library and holiday accommodation. During the summer months you can take a cruise of the Summer Isles on board the MV Hectoria.

For those who are familiar with Achiltibuie, our new garden is just beyond the post office but before the hotel and the old hydroponicum building (this building is no longer a visitor centre).
